今後の翻訳業界はどうなる？

世界的な不況の影響で、翻訳業界においても伝統的な翻訳需要は減退傾向が続くものと思われます。しかしながら、一方では、地球温暖化対応産業・技術の振興などによる産業転換が予想され、それに応じた新たな翻訳需要が増加することも期待されます。また、日本企業の海外進出の勢いもいずれ復活するものと思われ、それが裾野産業にも広がる可能性が高く、中小企業からの翻訳需要の増加も期待されます。

This week’s adjective is the word “atrocious”, and it is used to describe something that is really, really bad. For example:
“The dialogue in that movie was atrocious! Who wrote the script for that?”
“My sister is an atrocious cook! Everything she makes tastes horrible!”
“Did you see the dress that Kim was wearing the other day? It was purple and red with a strange picture of a flower on it. It was just atrocious!”
