国際化の流れが止まることがない昨今、様々な言語の交流が活発化することは目に見えています。翻訳はこの国際化の流れを効率よくするのに役立つと考えています。人の交流が増えれば増えるほど、重要度の増す業界だと思います。
今週の形容詞【appetizing】
This week’s adjective is “appetizing” and is used to describe food. However, we don’t use it to talk about the way food tastes. In that case, we would say “delicious”, “good”, “excellent”, etc. We use the word “appetizing” to say that a certain food looks, smells or seems delicious before we eat it. For example: “Look at the pizza at the table next to us. It looks really appetizing so I’d like to order the same thing.”
